Indiana University’s RN to BSN Degree Completion program has a contemporary curriculum that reflects the competencies nurses need to practice in the current health care system. It’s relevant to adult learners, working RNs who want to return to school, and their employers. The goal is improved practice; so the curriculum reflects the new American Association of Colleges of Nursing (AACN) BSN Essentials document.

Students must earn 120 credits to complete the program:

The clinical learning experiences or practicums are creative, flexible and meaningful to today’s nurse, taking into account previous learning and career goals.

Previous academic education and work experiences are valuable and may be demonstrated in an e-portfolio for up to six (6) hours of academic credit. Each IU campus has details and instructions for presenting a portfolio.
